Extremely light and thin device for those who want to get the most out of the tablet at a reasonable price
Quite often you can hear the opinion that tablets are designed more for absorbing digital content (watching movies, videos from the network, or reading books, for example), but this has long been not the case.
On gadgets like the HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” , you can safely draw at a fairly high level, professionally edit vacation photos, type notes in real time, or create beautiful presentations. At the same time, entertainment, of course, has not gone anywhere — you can also play shooters on the big screen, watch TV shows on long trips, or just chat with friends in instant messengers with complete comfort.

CASE DESIGN
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 ” tablet immediately meets with a symmetrical frame of optimal thickness. The “border” is thin enough to make the gadget look modern and compact at a diagonal of 12.2 inches, but not excessively so that accidental clicks do not occur — even if you hold the gadget with one hand while watching videos or reading news on the go.
Special attention should be paid to the rear panel — it is made of ultra-thin aviation-grade fiberglass, which has been polished for a very long time (more than a thousand times) in order to eventually provide a coating that resembles the texture of smooth silk. It looks very rich, especially in gold color, and really feels like a noble fabric to the touch — the tablet is simply pleasant to hold in your hands and iron.

The camera module was made in the same style as the smartphones of the HUAWEI Mate series. An interesting touch, fans of the brand will definitely like it.

And, of course, you can not ignore the fact that the model is very light and thin — only 508 grams with a thickness of 5.5 mm.

Thanks to this, the tablet is convenient to carry in your hands around the house or outside (for example, take it to the park to read a book in the fresh air), it takes up a minimum of space in a backpack or bag and does not burden the burden at all.
DISPLAY
Perhaps the main feature of this FullView screen is Tandem OLED technology — it allowed HUAWEI engineers to raise the brightness of the matrix to 2000 nits with extremely realistic color reproduction and high contrast (this is especially noticeable when watching movies or TV shows).
This was achieved due to a rather complex screen design — the bottom line is that the Tandem OLED technology uses an OLED structure that combines two standard OLED panels through a special connecting layer, which increases the brightness and energy efficiency of the display. Moreover, as a result, the screen will live about three times longer than a display with a single OLED panel. And given that we are talking about a tablet, which users usually update much less often than smartphones or wearable electronics, this is a significant advantage.
Another HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” pleased with the screen with an aspect ratio of 3:2 — it is more convenient to read articles on the Internet, view documents or even work with graphic content. Naturally, the resolution and pixel density here are at the flagship level, even small dashes of specific fonts look readable, and the refresh rate of 144 Hz shows itself at its best not only in games, but also when interacting with the system interface or viewing social networks.
The good news is that there are no cutouts or “bangs” for the front camera in this screen — it was placed inside the frame (along the long edge), preserving the integrity of the panel. It seems to be a small thing, but in this version the tablet looks more modern and thoughtful.
EFFICIENCY
In everyday operating scenarios, the tablet proved to be very worthy — the operating system interface runs smoothly (and the animations are pleasant), applications open without delay, you can keep a sea of software in the background and not worry about anything. However, it would be strange to expect something different from the flagship tablet.

When working with heavier software, there are also no problems — you can, for example, edit high-resolution photos in real time, work with documents (if you have a branded keyboard cover, the tablet can easily be transformed into a laptop), or run popular games at high graphics settings with a high frame rate. The fact that the improved cooling system makes the tablet case barely warm during long-term loads is also very encouraging.
Also “under the hood” of the tablet is a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 10,100 mAh, which is enough for 12-14 hours of video viewing (from the device’s memory) or for 6-8 hours of battles in games. Naturally, if you do not plan to watch the entire season of a TV series at a time, then you will have to charge HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2” about once every three days or even less often. For a model with a large and bright screen, this is quite a decent battery life.

Yes, and you don’t need to worry about having to sit at the outlet for a long time to replenish battery percentages-HUAWEI SuperCharge branded charging with a power of 100 W is supplied with the gadget (a huge plus), which completely replenishes the lost energy in about an hour.
ACCESSORIES
If desired, the tablet can be turned into an almost full — fledged laptop in the blink of an eye-for this purpose, there is a new HUAWEI Glide Keyboard made of fairly high-quality materials. It boasts a convenient keyboard layout, which you quickly get used to, and, most importantly, the presence of a touchpad (you don’t have to constantly take your hands off the table to tap on the screen). This allows you to comfortably edit documents, fill in cells in tables, respond to emails, and perform other work tasks.

Separately, I would like to say about the HUAWEI M-Pencil branded stylus (3rd generation) and the GoPaint application-this is the rare case when you definitely want to draw or at least try yourself in this direction.

Pencil” is very convenient, it fits perfectly in the hand and can recognize 16,384 degrees of pressure, and the application has a lot of brushes and all the necessary tools to try yourself as a digital artist.
FEEDBACK
The HUAWEI tablet left behind extremely positive emotions — it is very light, compact and convenient in everyday life. You can take it to the kitchen and watch TV shows while cooking, read books while sitting on the couch, or throw the gadget in your backpack and go somewhere, knowing that if necessary, you can even mount a video on it, not to mention more casual tasks.

The case is made for five plus — it is pleasant to the touch, feels strong, reliable and expensive. The screen can be safely called one of the best in the segment, performance for the eyes, and the presence of charging at 100 W lifts the mood with the absence of additional costs. Everything you expect from a truly flagship is available here.
