Despite the record thickness of the case in 5.8 mm, for which Samsung had to use not the most durable glass Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, the height and width of the Galaxy S25 Edge is even larger than the Galaxy S25+:

- Galaxy S25+: 158.4×75.8×7.3 mm.
Yes, the smartphone is thin and light (only 163 grams), but what is the point if it is wide, and the edges match the Apple iPhone-flat? Unlike the base Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 Edge is uncomfortable to hold in your hand, and its record-breaking thickness is only useful for those who want the device to stand out a little less in the pocket of thin jeans.
Galaxy S25 Edge Working Hours
Being, to put it mildly, not the most compact, the Galaxy S25 Edge offers the smallest battery among all smartphones in the series: 3900 mAh (even the compact Galaxy S25 has a 4000 mAh battery). It is complemented by support for a shameful 25W charging capacity for the flagship of 2025, which also needs to be purchased separately.
Since the smartphone has not yet gone on sale, I have no confirmed information regarding the autonomy of the Galaxy S25 Edge. But let’s estimate it based on the following facts :
- 3900 mAh battery;
- 6.7-inch screen with 2K resolution (1440p);
- Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
A hefty high-resolution screen, the most powerful processor of 2025 and a 3,900 mAh battery are a mockery that Samsung is sure to reinforce by offering customers some kind of magnetic powerbank, exposing the owners of the Galaxy S25 Edge to round idiots. Wanted a slim smartphone? Get and do not forget to stick an external battery on its back, making the device thicker than the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and taking into account the cost of the accessory, it is also more expensive.

Having received at its disposal the best mobile processor of 2025, the Galaxy S25 Edge does not set AnTuTu records, showing results worse than all other smartphones in the series :
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 2,795,139 points;
- Galaxy S25: 2,502,603 points;
- Galaxy S25+: 2,432,637 points;
- Galaxy S25 Edge: 2,262,677 points.
Yes, with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, as well as the current standards of operational (LPDDR5X) and permanent (UFS 4.0) memory, the Galaxy S25 Edge will work quickly in everyday use, as it should for a flagship. But in games, it will be inferior even to the baby Galaxy S25. Nothing critical, but only until you know the price of the new product.
Galaxy S25 Edge Smartphone Camera
Before we talk about the price, I want to touch on another important aspect — the camera. In an era when the vast majority of smartphone owners do not understand why there are so many of them, the choice in favor of two functional sensors seems justified. But the Galaxy S25 Edge is the only smartphone in the series without a telephoto lens with optical zoom. You won’t be able to take a decent portrait or zoom in on the subject properly.
In addition, the main camera of the Galaxy S25 Edge with a resolution of 200 MP is a pure prop. There are a lot of megapixels, and the sensor size, which directly affects the amount of light received by the matrix, is only 1/1. 56″. That’s the same amount as the small Galaxy S25’s 50-megapixel sensor. So don’t think that just because the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25 Ultra have a 200-megapixel camera, it shoots the same way. No: the Ultra-smartphone sensor is larger (1/1.3″), and it is complemented not by an ultra-wide for change, but by a full set of flagship devices with a periscope module.
How much does the Galaxy S25 Edge cost?
Given all the above, it would be logical to assume that the Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone costs about the same as the basic Galaxy S25 with a more capacious battery and a camera equipped with optical zoom. But no: the thin novelty is significantly more expensive, and from the point of view of Samsung’s positioning, it occupies an intermediate place between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The price of the Galaxy S25 Edge in the US is 1,100$.
At the same time, the compact Galaxy S25 can now be purchased for 60 thousand, and its enlarged version Galaxy S25+ — for 75. Why, even the Galaxy S25 Ultra is sold on marketplaces for 85 thousand rubles. Of course, a thin smartphone will become cheaper over time, but it is unlikely to cost less than the Galaxy S25+, and even more so the Galaxy S25. And who, and most importantly — why is it needed for such money?
